Color Eclipses

Color Eclipse is an installation using colored gels and sunlight in a darkened room that explores the interdependence of light and color and the changeable nature of color and its perception. Sunlight is the source material that creates a color-mixing event in time and space; passing clouds change the intensity of saturation, and the colors are in constant flux in terms of form, quantity, and composition. The physics of pure perception are evoked in an immersive experience that revels in sensuousness while still questioning the scientific causes at its root.
