Color Walks

Color Walks is an interactive installation that begins on the corner of 14th Street and Eighth Avenue in New York City. Colored plexiglass rectangles were placed against the old New York Savings Bank building, and passerbys were invited to ‘take a color for a walk,’ moving it along the street and changing the composition and context of the space. Like perception itself, color becomes moveable and in flux. In contrast to the buildings, these color forms are not owned or sold, but move through the street in a free exchange.
